About the artist //
"She's been drawing for as long as she can remember, but one day it stopped. At the dawn of adulthood, Sophie Levac began her college studies in visual arts with some sixty students, and two and a half years later, less than a dozen completed their program. A diploma that was so difficult to obtain that it took away all desire to draw. The desert crossing lasted a long decade, until a passion for a disciple flourishing in the art world took hold of her: the pouring. In a nutshell pouring consists in ingeniously mixing acrylic paint to give it a pasty texture, pouring this mixture onto a canvas that is moved, lighting a torch to heat the paint and create the cell effect, and spreading epoxy to create the mirror and depth effect."
