Artistic approach // His works, always minimalist and perfectly balanced, oscillate between abstract and figurative. In harmony with the raw material, they express the beauty of silence, space and time. The black covering almost all his compositions lends his pieces mystery, depth and refinement. The touch of color he adds sparingly and meticulously to some of his creations not only attracts the observer's eye, but above all adds to the symbolism of the whole. What's more, the artist affirms that, in his profession as an actor, he has learned over the years that there's no point in trying too hard to convey a message. Emotion delivered as simply and sincerely as possible is, in his opinion, the best way to touch people's hearts.
"In theater, balance, focus and instinct are very important notions for making a character my own and carrying an emotional charge. As a self-taught woodcarver, I constantly return to these theatrical notions to create my works and thus leave plenty of room for my imagination."
Last but not least, his creative technique, imbued with finesse, leaves no margin for error. Certainly, the slightest false move could compromise the balance of his composition, which, when completed, reveals unparalleled instinct and an inspiring presence of mind.
