Collection: Muses
"Muses," because that's what distinguishes this series from the previous ones, those who are the source of these portraits. I was inspired by several female artists from here, with whom I have had the privilege of collaborating in recent years.
Real people, human, creative, admirable and above all, inspiring.
Beyond the physical resemblance, which wasn't the ultimate goal, there's an essence behind each of these faces. Each of the reference photos I used to create these paintings emanated an intensity that greatly inspired me. Sometimes fragility, sometimes power, they guided the direction taken for each work, in a resolutely urban visual approach, borrowing from the codes of street art.
