Collectif MUSAICUM brought together over 35 Quebec artists in painting, printmaking and sculpture at Atelier Galerie Yann Lemieux, from November 8 to December 22, 2023.

Each artist had created from 1 to 8 small-format works of art of equal dimensions. Collectively, they had created a giant (and surprising!) mosaic of over 100 original creations.
Although presented collectively, all the works of art were available for sale individually.

Part of the proceeds went to the Benjo Philanthropic Fund, which supports a number of community organizations. Their objectives include promoting food security, supporting the development of families in need, and highlighting the spirit of initiative, desire for accomplishment and, above all, the daily surpassing of young people.
With this in mind, a second mosaic was presented to showcase the potential of young people and give them the unique experience of exhibiting alongside professional artists.

It featured the amazing creations of young artists, thanks to a collaboration with art students and teachers from Séminaire Saint-François, in partnership with the Benjo boutique.

The 4th and 5th graders were treated to a VIP evening with their families, friends and school staff.
This unique moment was a way for them to experience a vernissage. Many of them were brave enough to take the floor to describe their works and their creative processes.
Some of the collective's professional artists, including Josianne Leclerc and Geneviève Ricard, also took the opportunity to present their artistic approaches. A privileged moment of inter-generational sharing!
A lively exhibition!
Each weekend during the exhibition, several artists were invited to come and create on site, while the public came to meet them.

Musaicum, in constant evolution...
As soon as a work found its new home, it was immediately taken down to make way for something new. The artists had their hands full! Over the 6 weeks of the exhibition, dozens of new works appeared day after day.

Thanks to all the participating artists and over 50 collectors who purchased a work of art from the Collectif Musaicum, a total of $1,600 was donated to the cause supported by this event.
