The MUSAICUM Collective brought together more than 35 Quebec artists in painting, engraving and sculpture, at the Atelier Galerie Yann Lemieux, from November 8 to December 22, 2023.

Each artist created one to eight small, equally-sized artworks. Together, they created a giant (and surprising!) mosaic of over 100 original creations.
Although presented collectively, all artworks were available for sale individually.

A portion of the proceeds was donated to the Benjo Philanthropic Fund, which supports several community organizations. Their goals include promoting food security, supporting the development of families in need, and highlighting the spirit of initiative, the desire for accomplishment, and, above all, the daily surpassing of young people.
In this spirit, to highlight the potential of young people and give them the unique experience of an exhibition alongside professional artists, a second mosaic was presented.

There, we found the wonderful creations of young artists, thanks to a collaboration with the students and art teachers of the Séminaire Saint-François, in partnership with the Benjo boutique.

Moreover, these 4th and 5th year secondary school students were treated to a VIP evening with their families, friends and school staff.
This unique moment was a way for them to experience a private viewing. Several of them had the courage to speak out and describe their works and their creative processes.
Some of the collective's professional artists, including Josianne Leclerc and Geneviève Ricard, also took the opportunity to showcase their artistic endeavors. A special moment of intergenerational sharing!
A living exhibition!
Each weekend during the exhibition, several artists were invited to come and create on site, while the public came to meet them.

Musaicum, constantly evolving...
As soon as a work found its new home, it was immediately taken down to make way for a new one. The artists were busy! Over the course of the six weeks it ran, dozens of new works appeared day after day.

Thanks to all the participating artists and more than 50 collectors who acquired a work of art from the Musaicum Collective, $1,600 was donated to the cause supported by this event.
